Should I prepare for my reading?
Before coming into a reading, take some time to think about the issue or subject you would like to focus on.
Bring something you can take notes with.
Flying Pig Tarot does not offer "yes" or "no" answers or make predictions about the future. Instead, we work together to explore the elements at work in your life, identify action steps and gain new insights into the particular issue or subject for which we are reading.
Where do readings take place?
Flying Pig Tarot hosts all readings virtually via a video call link you receive after booking.
Please make sure you have stable internet and a quiet room so you can see and hear everything.
In rare cases I will read at events, especially if they are fundraisers. I only do masked and covid safe events in person in Chicago or Detroit.
Can I ask the Cards anything?
The only subject that Flying Pig Tarot does not address during a reading are medical conditions or health crises. We believe that these conversations are best had with those who do physical healing work.
However, Flying Pig Tarot can work with you to identify action steps for self care and/or create community care plans that can support you through a medical crisis or health related issue.
Flying Pig Tarot does not do past lives readings.
What if I pull bad cards?
The secret is there really are no "bad" or "good" tarot cards. Tarot is bigger than the good/bad binary. Readings are more complicated than one card and a good reader will help you make sense to how all the cards fit together. If cards come up that feel scary, hard or negative, we will work together to make sense of them and figure out what the cards suggestion for the best next right action to take.
Can the cards show me the future?
Because we have free will, the future is always changing.
Understanding the present is the first step in creating the future you want. By focusing on the layers of this present moment we can use tarot as a guide, a road map, and a wise friend.
What if I need to Cancel or Reschedule?
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will be charged 50% of the price you elected to pay. However, you can have one last minute reschedule (not cancelation) for free.
